There are some things in life that require no skill and instantly transport us back to our childhood. Trampolines are definitely one of these! Is it any wonder that trampoline parks like Rush, Bounce and Jump4Joy are so popular? On the 1st of January 2017, the Garden Route got its own trampoline park in the form of Elevate Action Centre.
Elevate Action Centre is a welcome inclusion in the activities scene in the Garden Route. Well known as the adventure belt of South Africa, the Eden district has much to offer for families in the great outdoors yet, during bad weather and the cold winter months, the choices are a lot more limited. Elevate changes all that.
Housed in a huge facility at Unit G1, Biotek Industrial Park, 14 Meul Street, George Industria, the trampoline free zone features more than 60 interconnected trampolines offering a staggering 600 m² for jumpers to have fun and do tricks to their hearts desire.
With features such as an integrated air-bag, a dodge-ball court, two basketball rings and 45° sides to double back on your favourite moves, the trampoline area has something for everyone.
Elevate has a minimum age limit of 4 years and a maximum weight limit of 90 kg for the main trampoline area. Jumpers are required to wear Elevate trampoline socks for both hygienic reasons and for the essential traction that the rubber soles provide.
For children under 4 who cannot make use of the main trampoline area, Elevate offers a Jungle Gym, a mini climbing wall, 2 ball pits and basketball hoops.
A fully stocked kiosk offers Slush Puppies, cool drinks, ice-creams, snacks, hot chocolate and speciality coffees.
Elevate offers various options for the most memorable birthday parties.
Jumping sessions are 1 ½ hours in duration and start from 10h00 until 17h30 during the week (Monday 11h30) with an extra session until 19h00 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. During busy periods, Elevate recommends that sessions are pre-booked online to avoid disappointment. The completion of the once-off indemnity can also be performed online to speed up the registration process.
For those wishing to fulfil their “need for speed”, at the Garden Route’s only Go-Karting venue, Elevate has an exhilarating outdoor Go-Kart track with the following options for up to 5 Go-Karters at the same time (depending on kart availability):
- 5 Minute Races
- 10 Minute Races
- 30, 60 or 90 Minute “Le-Mans” races for Groups
All laps are timed and drivers receive a printout of their lap-times after th race and can compete to get their names and times onto Elevate’ s various Leaderboards.
For safety reasons, Go-Karters need to be above 12 years old and over 1.5m in height and must wear closed shoes.
